Much nursery software is written for greenhouses in Europe or North America, or is a general farm system with a nursery screen added on. OperoNMS starts from the work of a South African nursery: compartment orders from plantations, mother hedges and cutting supply, hardening camps that fill in the same weeks every year, returnable trays out on customers' sites, and floor teams working where there is no signal.
