What needs doing, and what's coming
"What needs doing" cards with deadlines: trays overdue for return, delivery requests now open. Coming deliveries for the next 60 days, and the financial year at a glance by plantation.
Plantation foresters and external customers sign in to their own portal to order, follow every order, ask for delivery or a hold, confirm what arrived, report a problem and send trays back. It speaks their words, and shows nothing internal.
Real portal screens, signed in as Lwazi, a forester at the demo company's Highveld plantations.

Compartments with hectares, stocking in stems per hectare, species, harvest month and plants needed, and whether they are ordered yet. Add or rename compartments, set planting months and the blanking allowance, and add the compartments due for harvest to projected orders.
Pick compartments, species and quantities. The earliest month that can be grown in time is offered automatically, and each line goes to the right nursery. Where the nursery runs an annual order round, projected orders fill themselves from compartments due for harvest, or from a spreadsheet.
Current, Delivered and Closed tabs, with Projected, Adjusted and Actual for customers on the order cycle. A "Next" column says what happens next, such as "Delivery requests open 18 Oct 2026", and each order has a timeline. Orders can be cancelled before the nursery has started growing them.
Raise a delivery request with a preferred date and site contact. Can't plant yet? Request a hold of up to three months, see the allowance left for the year, and confirm the terms when the nursery approves.
Upcoming and delivered loads with the delivery note, vehicle, quality result and receipt. Confirm receipt with plants and trays received, shortages and damage. "Report a problem" (damaged, wrong species, below spec, short) with up to five photos. Accept or decline loads sent under concession.
Trays by delivery, with the number overdue. "Arrange Tray Return" books a collection or a drop-off at any of your nurseries. The customer knows what will be charged and when, so there are no surprises.
Every request a customer makes in the portal lands in the right queue on your side: Orders to Accept, Plant Hold Requests, the dispatch schedule, customer problem reports and tray collections. Nobody retypes an email.
We work closely with a small group of nurseries to set up OperoNMS on their sites. You get hands-on setup and training, your own nursery's layout and recipes loaded with you, and a direct say in what we build next.
